Hi friends. As much as I would love to recap the Super Bowl today, it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. My anxiety is getting the best of me today and I just can't find it in me to give sign language guy the proper post he deserves. Tomorrow though, tomorrow will be his day to shine here on my interwebz space. Count on it.
Today I'm going to do the weekend racap thing because that's about all I can squeak out right now without further pushing myself closer to a full blown panic attack. Ain't anxiety grand?
On Saturday Man Friend and I did the Orlando thing and got ourselves some annual passes to Disney because we love nothing more than to pretend we are tourists. Ok, so not really that part, but having easy access to Disney comes in handy on weekends when we get bored. Or during the entire month of October for Food and Wine Fest. If you don't know about Food and Wine Fest, look it up and plan accordingly.
First stop was Magic Kingdom where I got myself a pair of sparkly Minnie ears because I am actually 6 years old. It was pretty much the most gorgeous day to be at Disney ever and the massive crowd proved that. After a brutal trip around Magic Kingdom, fighting kids on leashes and quadruple-wide strollers, we hauled ass to Epcot because we needed booze and a lot of it.
Is it ok to throw up a thumbs up these days? Do people still do that?
Is it ok to throw up a thumbs up these days? Do people still do that?
We frolicked around Mexico for a good while because that's where all of the goods are. And by goods I mean flights of tequila and fancy margaritas. Though I, for some god awful reason, selected a jalepeno margarita and it was equally as bad as it sounds. I really don't know what inspired me to order such a catastrophe. Lesson learned, big time.
We watched the sun set while drinking some wine and, yes, I regretted the wine/tequila/whiskey/beer combination very much the following day. My head may never forgive me. My liver, as well.
Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday, one of my most favorite days of the year, and as I said earlier, that recap post is going to have to wait until tomorrow when I don't feel like a big sack of anxious mess. My ode to sign language man needs to be done from my normal brain. It's only right.

I love your outfit, looks so comfy and the Minnie ears really top it off :) I'm going to Disney in May for the first time everrr so posts like this make me excited!!
ReplyDeleteI love love love Disney! Epcot especially! We went over Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteThe sparkly ears are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love Disney! I haven't been since high school though..I think a trip is wayyyy over due! And my husband has never been. He doesn't even know how incomplete his life is.
ReplyDeletemakes me wanna go back to Disney so bad. We went for the first time in Sept. this year and I had SO much fun!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you get to go to Disney whenever you feel like it! I've never been there, but it's definitely on my list! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better friend!
Love that heart sweater!!! SOunds like a fun weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI still throw up the thumbs up ... so it's cool ;).
ReplyDeleteI wish I could go to Disney anytime I choose.
Hope you feel better.
I am so jelly that you are so close to Disney and can visit when you want. People in animal costumes is beyond cruel and unusual punishment but I make exceptions for Mickey.
ReplyDeleteyou are hands down the prettiest bunny to ever grace disney.
ReplyDeleteI love Disney!! I haven't been since I was a little girl, but am trying to get the hubby to go sometime soon!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
How funnnn! Jalapeno margarita? Sounds intriguing...
ReplyDeleteI "thumbs up" to people wayyy to often! My poor daughters are into the habit of doing it, too. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI love jalapenos, but that definitely does not sound like a good combination! Those minnie ears are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI frow thumbs lots, so you're good. Also, you put all Disney princesses to shame! Beauty & the Man Friend, I can see it now.
ReplyDeleteThumbs are a must, especially at Disney. Tan sign language man deserves a post from all of us in the blogger world, he looked like he could be Barbie's father-in-law. LOVE the sparkly minnie years, 6 years old or not ;)
ReplyDeleteA jalapeno margarita sounds equally as awful as the bacon martini that I ordered last weekend. Bad decisions.
ReplyDeleteEpicot equals amaze!
ReplyDeleteCan not wait to hear your take on sign language ,an hahah
ReplyDeleteThumbs up are DEF still in... pretty sure I still throw up a peace-sign every now and then too for pictures. I just don't know what to do with my arms/hands in pictures so any type of hand signal usually works ;)
ReplyDeletePS- you just got me ALL SORTS OF PUMPED for my Disney vacay in April!!
Hope your Monday gets better and less anxiety-ridden. Love the sparkly ears, maybe wearing them to work will help?
ReplyDeleteI've been reading you blog for a while now and I just have to say that I'm happy to see your man friend. I was a tad curious what happened to him.
ReplyDeleteI love Disney World. I took my girls on a Disney cruise in August and it was pure awesomeness.
All I want to do in life is go to Food and Wine. Whyyyyy do I always put it off?
ReplyDeleteaww you make me miss home! i love disney and going for no reason!
ReplyDeletehave a great monday!
Can we go to Disney and get me some sparkle ears when I come see yo pretty face? Also, kids on leashes and giant strollers is EXACTLY what comes to mind when I think of Magic Kingdom. You and yo man friend are adorbs. LUZ.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time! We're moving east of Orlando at the end of the month and I can't wait to visit Disney ALL the time. :)

Why does a Jalapeno margarita sound so good to me? Hm. Oh well, I'll take your word for it! So cool you can just pop on over to Disney World. I've still never been and I am actually missing a vital piece of my childhood because of it.
ReplyDeleteNo. I want orange sign language man today! I can't wait until tomorrow. I'll just send you a rude clique email about it.
ReplyDeleteLove the thumbs up! I'm uber-jealous of the fact that you can go to Disney whenever you want! That is definitely something I wish I could say!!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, even though you're six. I would snatch me up a pair of those ears, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd OH MY GOSH I'm glad i have finally found someone who DOESN'T like the jalapeno margarita--my husband and all of his friends LOVE them, yuck.
Keep throwing the thumbs up, Minnie. I much prefer the thumbs up to the fish face and peace sign that frequently shows up on the Facebook ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could handle a jalapeno margaria. But then, I'm never drinking again anyway, so.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
weird. i am actually 6 years old as well. I guess that's why i get drunk so fast?
ReplyDeletetake me to Disney with you. thank you.
Food & Wine Festival is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteMy 12 year old face is on one of those blocks at Epcot. Hope you found me.
ReplyDeleteBasically Epcot was designed for parents to go to after surviving the madness of Magic Kingdom and who need to drink their dinner :)And I can't believe that I lived 4 hours from Disney and never thought to go to the Food and Wine festival. This is going to be remedied. Pronto.

I've never been to Disney... wanna go to sooooooooooo badly!
ReplyDeleteSo super jealous you are that close to DWorld. I love that place. And it's a million times more fun as an adult.
ReplyDeleteUgh anxiety.. It is such a monster. I had my fair share this weekend. It must be making it's rounds.
That's a shame about the margarita. I get a jalapeƱo and cilantro margarita at a little tex mex place in Charleston and it rocks my socks off! I think you should give it another try!
ReplyDeleteYou look super duper cute in the thumbs up picture!!! And I need to go back to Disney..Never knew they served booze! I would enjoy it a bit more now!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could just jump over to Disneyworld for the day! Obviously the Minnie ears were the best decision. They're perfect!
ReplyDeletelove your outfit (including the ears!) and I'm jealous. I've never been to Disney World/Land. I KNOW. I never let my parents forget, either. I realize I'm 26 but my brain always flashes 5 whenever I'm asked!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh - my post was filled with pictures of all the immature juvenile things I wear/do. Sorry you're feeling anxious....I understand. More than you know.
ReplyDeleteit's totes ok to throw the thumbs up sign...wait...does anyone still say 'totes?'
ReplyDeleteOoh...jealous. We were there exactly a year ago and had a blast. Mexico was a favorite as was Japan - but tequila and saki are not really a good pair! We were just at Disneyland on Tuesday and were reminiscing about the good times at Epcot! So fun!

Classy with a Kick

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a blast :)

I need to get my pass so I can attend the food and wine festival. I've wanted to go every year and always seem to miss it. I need to follow suit!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I enjoy reading about Disney (I'm def jealous) I can't wait to read your post about sign language guy. He had an awesome blowout.
ReplyDeleteahhh i hope you had the best time! my husband and i are doing a big trip this summer and i cant wait :)

In the words of a tattoo artist I recently met - "I f-ing love Disneyland, man."
ReplyDeleteThat drink combo sounds brutal.
I rock a double thumbs up on a regular basis so you're all good.

I love doing Disney as an adult. We went a couple years ago and had the best time!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read about sign language guy. We were cracking up and then I'd feel bad for laughing, but then I'd just laugh again.
Love the Minnie ears!
ReplyDeleteI've stopped drinking (for a milli-second) in hopes to aid in my weight loss endeavours, but my husband went out Friday night. He came home at two, woke up hurting pretty bad Saturday morning. Oh how I liked not feeling like that! But, the night/afternoon/morning/day drinking is always the best.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous that you bought a pass to Disneyland! I can only dream of living so close. Sounds like a fun weekend!

So FUN! I love anything Disney! :)

Is it weird that I am jealous you have Disney World passes...when I live 20 minutes away from DisneyLand? I think DWorld is so much better than DLand cuz you got Epcot, all those water parks, MGM and the Wild Kingdom!! I want to visit again so bad!! Anyways sounds like a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Disney for my first time this week! Jealous that you can go all the time. Sadly, the cold land of MN doesn't have anything even close to that.
ReplyDeleteDisney is such a happy place...if you can just find a way to tune out all the screaming kids! I am pretty sure we had that exact same shot thing when we were there a few years ago! I think Epcot is the ONLY thing that kept my fiance from killing me (for dragging him there) and then himself!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I've never been to Disneyworld :( I feel like my childhood has been stripped
ReplyDeleteI had habanero tequila on my honeymoon. It was probably just as bad as yours. I wasted a whole night of drinking after that..couldn't get anything else down! Bad decision Cayla, bad decision.
ReplyDeleteah, sign language guy completely killed it. I die.
ReplyDeleteI definitely wrote about my jalapeno margarita from the breakers today! Clearly we cannot be trusted when ordering alcohol. Worst decision EVER.
ReplyDeletep.s. so excited to see my future hubs on your blog tomorrow.
jalapeno tequila shots? That has to be the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of in my life. LIFE.
ReplyDeleteI so want one.
I'm adding sparkly Minnie ears to my shopping list for our trip. I'll be rocking them all food and wine fest long.
ReplyDeleteLoving the sparkly Minnie ears :) Those are keepers!
ReplyDeleteAdult Disney sounds so much more fun than kid Disney! Even if the shots were bad, I probably would've tried them too. I'm on a serious jalapeno kick!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend is taking me to Disney this weekend!! I will remember to stay away from the jalapeno-rita!! :) Cute photos!!

Being from California, I never saw the need to visit Disney World, because Disneyland suits me just fine, thankyouverymuch. However, this Food & Wine Fest intrigues me. Minus that jalapeno margarita. What the...? How did that even make it onto the menu??
ReplyDeleteJalapeno marg??? Ummm I can see the tempation but it does sound just awful in theory. Aside from that, totes jealous of your gallavanting around Disney! :)
ReplyDeleteI have read a few good stuff here. Certainly value bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how a lot attempt you set to make this kind of wonderful informative web blog. have a look at mine The Symptoms for Diabetes in Children
ReplyDeleteLook at you and those cute ol' glitter ears. I NEED THOSE. But really, I do. I'm throwing a tantrum now.
ReplyDeleteI love the glittery ears!!!! So adorable :)
ReplyDeleteWe went to Disney yesterday!
ReplyDeletei love love disney and am sad that i havne't yet made it to the food and wine festival. i love drinking my way around epcot and we always start in mexico too. great (drunk) minds think alike!

I am jealous I want to go to Disney............so much..............
ReplyDeleteHi Whitney! It's Bianca (your lovely internet friend up in freezing cold Rhode Island). I tried to look you up on FB, but you're no longer there *pouts*. Anyway, I've been following your blog for a while, but haven't gotten around to making an account.... BUT I WANT TO! Here is where you come in... when you get a chance, would you be able to email me (bdag0728@cox.net) so I could ask you some questions? I am also wondering if you would be free to make me a layout (I would pay you obviously) .... let me know! Sorry for this random post on your blog! Anyway, I'm Team Whitterz all the way and happen to dread Saturdays and Sundays when your blog goes on vaca.
ReplyDeleteANNUAL PASSES TO DISNEY WORLD > SUPER BOWL!! You're so lucky! I love Disney so much that I'm going twice this year. My first trip is Feb 25-Mar 1, and my second is from June 3-June 7. It's always a big deal for me, coming from Chicago, but I've managed to go 7 times already, and 2 to Disneyland. I hope to get up to 10+ WDW and 5 DL trips in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteI've been jumping around your blog and you seem like such a cool girl! I wear yoga pants to work because sometimes, I work at a yoga studio! :) So the name of your site totally caught my eye and interest. :)
I'll come back again soon!
