Fighting My Arch Nemisis

A lot of you probably don't know this, but I'm a fashion school graduate. Yeppp, I've got me a shiny ol' bachelors degree in fine arts for fashion design and merchandising. See look? I even had to draw and stuff.

Ask me how many years I've used said degree.
Answer: Zero. Goose egg. Nada.
But I promise, I graduated... see?

Oh hey, didn't know I had a big brother and sister that look nothing like me (because we aren't blood related), did you?

Why? I love the idea of fashion more so than working in fashion.
What I really wanted out of my degree was to go into some type of PR for the fashion industry, but along the way I got caught up in photography and the PR dream got lost.

Either way, fashion is apart of me and is really something I do have a lot of passion for. Unfortunately with fashion comes my arch nemesis... Laundry. Which I've pretty much made clear I'm not a huge fan of, but when I saw Tide came out with Tide Pods I was instantly intrigued. I mean, anything to make doing laundry even a tiny bit more interesting has my vote, am I right? Yes, yes I am.
pod_lores

So maybe I'm a little bit easily amused but I was pretty intrigued with the whole idea of just throwing the little pac into my washing machine without having to dump a bunch of detergent into a cap and then have it go everywhere. Which, by the way, I always manage to drip all. over. the. place. Someone please tell me I'm not alone here? Also, I feel like I'm constantly using too much or not enough.. I mean, how does that cap really know how many articles of clothing I've got set to go for a ride in the machine?

In addition to the convenience and easy factor, Tide Pods were gentle on my clothes and didn't beat up on them! It cleaned, brightened and fought the inevitable (wine) stains I always have from being such a klutz. Also, these little pacs of clean are seriously budget diva approved and we all know how much I love to ball on a budget! For me, choosing to bathe my most fashionable clothing items in Tide Pods is a no brainer.

Why would you try out Tide Pods? Tell me for a chance to win a $100 gift card!

I'd try them out because I'm lazy and I don't want to measure out laundry. HAHA.
But really, that's awesome about your degree! I could totally see it, because you're so creative and artsy ;) Props to you!

Okay you're starry night project is really cute. And I just started working on social media for a fashion company, it's so much fun but it would never pay the bills alone sooo photography is the way to go. My boyfriend is a photographer and also assists for bigger fashion photographers and he makes... A LOT more than my cutesy little social media job in fashion. So I think you made the right choice especially since you love it.

I have always been so skeptical of those little guys, but I am definitely intrigued! I always have detergent all over the top of my dryer! Even if I lay a towel under the bottle. It still ends up all over the place.

I'd try out tide pods to make laundry that much easier. I use the pods for my dishwasher, so why not try it out for the washing machine?

I have to lug a bottle of detergent to a common apartment building laundry room where I spill it everywhere. This would make my life so much easier. Thanks for the rec.

I think the idea behind these is genius! I was tons of clothes and I am always on the look out for new products that allow me to maximize my time. I find the idea of being able to throw one of these in instead of having to measure out detergent is something that would help me to be more time effective and efficient when washing clothes.

    Convenience is always nice.

People with kids, be careful to keep these in a safe place - I saw on the news about a month ago a toddler died after eating a couple of these, thinking they were candy! :(

I would use Tide Pods because I have a military husband who requires A LOT of uniforms that get rather rank and gross. If these make my laundry days easier... I'm all for it!

We started using Tide Pods so we didn't have to carry the bottle of laundry soap to the laundry room in our apartment complex. I will never go back...even though I have my own laundry now and don't have to carry soap anywhere, it's so much easier just to toss in a pod and not fuss with spilling (I totally do this too) and pouring.

I would try Tide Pods bc I'm lazy and like to make one trip inside after leaving the store. Laundry detergent bottles take up an entire hand. Pods container is lightweight!! Throw it in the Target bag. Hope they make clothes smell as good as the Tide detergent.

I've been REAL interested in trying these out but honestly, I LOVE doing laundry and what I love the most about it is making sure that my laundry smells yummy and fresh. When I worked in VIP Travel, my coworkers would literally know when I got to work because they could smell my Downy (not too overwhelming though). I worry about the Tide Pods because I don't know if they will hold enough Tide "scent". I do love the way Tide smells and I do use it.. anyone have any words of advice on this, etc?

I had to laugh at this post because I HATE doing laundry! Mostly the entire process. But those pods look pretty nifty. And seriously, If I could pop one of those things in the washer instead of having to haul the heavy liquid detergent container to & from the laundry room (located conveniently not so near my apt) I would be a pretty darn appreciative gal!

I would try these out for sure.... I like the idea that they don't take up as much room on a shelf as huge freakin' containers of detergent. We have a teeny space to do laundry in, and any way I can save space is good with me!

I would love to try these - I hate the buildup of detergent in the bottom of the measuring cup, and the pods would eliminate that, yay!
