I killed that little bastard.

Well, well, well, look who finally showed up for school blog today.
I had every intention of blogging this week but then I just drank a lot.
Which you all got to witness first hand on Monday... Except it's Thursday now and I've yet to produce anything since. My bad.

My holidays were nothing really worth posting about.
I didn't get engaged (shocking, I know), I didn't receive any Apple products (thanks a lot, mom), and I believe I was called a smart ass at one point.
Love those holidays.

I did, however get some pretty sweet TOMS that are Florida State colors. So, there's that.
Also, Ella wore some antlers.
Really I just need some photos in this post so here's what you get.

Yesterday I killed a bug all by myself. I didn't even scream or panic or run around like it was trying to steal my virtue. Ok, maybe I panicked a little bit, but that's beside the point.
I did it. I killed that little bastard all by myself and properly disposed it in the potty.
We had a little stare down, mono e mono, and that's when I saw in his little buggy eyes that if I didn't take him down he was going to eat me and the dogs in our sleep.
I'm chalking that up as a #singlelife win and giving myself a big ass pat on the back.
Even if said bug was smaller than a dime. Not the point!

Really though, why the hell is blogging so hard this week?

I mean, I could sit here and tell you about how I watched Pitch Perfect for the first time ever and I cried a little bit. So I guess that means I actually have a heart inside of me somewhere. Go figure.

I should go now and maybe make a New Years resolution to write better.

  1. umm killing a bug is definitely a huge feat. I hate doing every time (regardless of how big/small).
And I agree about the blogging thing. I'm blaming it on a Christmas Hangover.

  4. You are a better person than me in the bug killing department. The other night, Jake was working...and there was a bug in Addie's room...and I was too scared to kill it so I convinced her that it went back to his home to see his mother. I don't think she believed me, she probably just let me off the hook. lol and also...at least it wasn't a palmetto bug....bleh.

  5. Hahaha Helene. She so silly. I can only imagine Lily wearing antlers.. considering she tried to kill me for putting Christmas lights on her I think Ella will have to wear the antlers for the both of them!

  6. Oh the Christmas engagements......I however was one of the brats who got an iPhone from the hubby, but that was about the only "big gift" and my mom got me some cute boots!

    Love dogs in antlers!

  7. Great job killing the bug! I still have problems with working up the nerve to get close enough to the nasty little buggers. Ugh.
Hope you had a wonderful holiday :D

  9. I was just telling someone that this must have been the "Christmas of electronics" for everyone and their mother-- but not me haha. Everyone I know got an ipad, a laptop, a camera etc. Me?! I was super pumped to get a crockpot! EFF YES!

Oh, and Ella in antlers?! I need her.

  11. Did you cry at the end where you realize that both Jesse and Beca love each other? That gets me every time...the Bella's song at the end is phenomenal!

  13. Yuck bugs. Sometimes when I hate my husband and wish he would go disappear, I remind myself that if that happened, I would have to take care of bugs on my own and I hate him just a little less.

  14. Nah. Your writing is fine. Just make the resolution to drink more wine... is that even possible ;) hehehehehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ps lurve those Toms except mine would be Royal blue and white... C*A*T*S* CATS CATS CATS. Pss I HATE killing bugs. I still can't do it. Like I make my Husband, even my kids at times {desperate times call for desperate measures}, kill the little shits. I won't even pick it up with a paper towel... I just know that thing is going to come back to life and eat me like a pirana... I.Just.Know.

  15. A picture of a dog or cat in a costume is always good material.

  18. I fear alot of things will eat me in my sleep, especially bugs.
The one time when we were living in FL there was a cockroach crawling on our ceiling while we were sleeping. I turned on the light, freaked and then ran out of the room and let B fend for himself.

  19. Pitch Perfect seriously makes my heart so happy. I watched it for the second time Christmas night, and was fist pumping to the final song of the Bellas. Soo good. And hello - how jealous am I of your FSU Toms? Super jealous.
